Assombroso, misterioso...
Existem relatos que foi habitado espiritualmente por um antigo rei entre 1100 e 1110...continua a atormentar quem la trabalha diariamente...
Fica-lhe proximo (de Lisboa) o castelo de Sintra,(...) no qual ha uma fonte purissima, cujas aguas, a quem as bebe, dizem, abrandam a tosse e a tisica; por isso quando os naturais dali ouvem tossir alguem logo depreendem que e um estranho(...). Nos seus pastos as eguas reproduzem-se com admiravel fecundidade por quanto so com aspirar as auras concebem do vento , e depois, sequiosas, tem coito com os cavalos. Desta forma se casam com o sopro das auras.
